About Inkling Editing
Inkling Editing draws inspiration from the legendary Inklings—the renowned group that included C. S. Lewis and J. R. R. Tolkien, who often gathered in an Oxford pub to discuss, critique, and support each other’s writing. As a latter-day Inkling myself, I’ve always felt that my best work as a writer emerges in community. Just as the Inklings cultivated a space for shared insight and growth, our mission at Inkling Editing is to come alongside writers—particularly those in seminary contexts—as they work on their theses and dissertations.
With over a decade of experience as an editor and as a PhD graduate from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, I know firsthand what it takes to see a project through to completion—from developing an initial idea to organizing a proposal, drafting chapters, and preparing a manuscript for publication. I’m thankful for the community I had during my doctoral program—including an editor!—and I want to help provide that same level of communal excellence for others.
Inkling Editing brings together expert theological and academic editors to partner with clients at every stage of the writing journey. Whether you need a quick polish on a chapter or comprehensive review of your entire dissertation, we offer tailored services to match your needs.
As I often say, to be edited is to be loved.
